About Me
Hello World. My name is Christopher Bennett and I am an art student. Lovely.
After I finished a Level 3 BTEC at Dewsbury College [UK], a 2 year Visual Communication course, I went on to study at Norwich University College of the Arts, with a BA in Visual Studies. I've just started on my second year. I've always been interested in art - every permutation from sculpture and painting to digital graphics and photography, so I am very happy that I've been able to mould my own education around my great passions.
Here is a little backstory. I studied 4 A'Level subjects at Heckmondwike Grammar School a few years back and I wasn't at all ready at the time. I studied Computing, Music Technology, English Language and Psychology and, to be brutally honest, I did hardly any work over two years. My results reflected this and it was of some comedic redemption that I could nearly spell the word "duck" with the grades. Feeling the full impact of my apparent "failure" and consistent slacking off I took a year out of education to gather myself together.
It was not all lost, thankfully. Looking on the bright side I got "average" C and D grades (which some students would kill for) and a chunk of golden UCAS points. But I hadn't lived. I had merely strolled along, content with "acceptable" and "average". I was not happy with my mindset back then and it took me 3 years of wasting my time to grow sufficiently in my mind to advance both my life and education to where they should have been 3 years ago.
So I gathered every ounce of willpower and got my ass in gear. I started reading, studying everything I could get my hands on. And the subject was graphic design. Inspired from an early age by my dear old Mum (who was a graphic designer herself many moons ago) I decided to persue it as my lifelong goal. To be a designer and artist and, most importantly, someone who followed their passion as fully as possible.
And here I am today. I have worked harder and faster and more thoroughly than I ever thought possible and I am absolutely loving it. I am learning something new on an hourly basis, trawling the internet, books and films for anything I can assimilate into my new, creative brain. In these pages you will find a link to my sketchbooks - which are by far the best place to see how I have progressed. I believe that being a designer is in the heart and mind; a state of peace I have found within myself.
It just took me three long, hard years to figure that out :)

Welcome to my website! My name is Christopher Bennett, I'm 22 and I'm an artist & designer interested in pretty much everything, ever. I finished a BTEC in Visual Communication with three Distinction grades last year and have just started on my second year of University, studying at NUCA (Norwich University College of the Arts). On my site you will find some examples of the things I get upto including a page for each of the projects I've been working on for the last few years.

On a recent trip to Paris, I was lucky enough to walk past a professional photography shoot. I simply couldn't resist snapping a few pics - before being chased away by the tech crew!
The newest addition to the site is a gallery of photo's categorised by nature. You can access this gallery by hovering over the DEVELOPMENT menu option and selecting NATURAL WORLD.
